Our God Reigns

June 24, 2006

Have you made Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life? I would like to take you on a tour of a house – you are the house made of spirit, soul and body, and today we will tour just one room – your soul – the control center where you make decisions. Walking inside we behold the rays of light piercing the darkness. Looking about us we see doors that are shut tight protecting emotional wounds, fears, self-centeredness, resentment and unforgiveness. There in the center is a majestic throne that dominates the room. Do you sit here or will you invite the sovereign Father-God to reign supreme in your life? He is the all sufficient one who helps your infirmities, heals all your diseases and forgives all your iniquities. When He sits on the throne He binds up and heals your brokenness. He makes a beautifully decorated room of your soul with His peace that passes understanding and with His joy that is joy unspeakable and full of glory. Prophesy and declare over yourself: my God reigns! The choice is yours.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus. He is the Lord of my life. You made my spirit the candle of the Lord that searches out my innermost being, and I submit to the Holy Spirit who searches my heart and He knows your will for my life. Everything is exposed to your Word, and I submit to the constant ministry of transformation by the Holy Spirit. Thank You for healing all my hurts, meeting and fulfilling all my needs and for helping me process and resolve all issues perfectly with the Word of God. I choose this day to submit to your Lordship and declare with confidence: my God reigns! Amen

Affirmation of Confidence

June 23, 2006

There was a time that I had no self-confidence. Self-condemnation and self-doubt whirled in my head and played havoc with my life. I thought that I was a failure going somewhere to happen, and it seemed that I constantly made wrong decisions. I read books on self-improvement, but decided they didn’t apply to me. This belief sabotaged everything I set out to do, and I heaped more condemnation on myself. BUT GOD! He helped me turn my life around, and because He had forgiven me I chose to forgive and accept myself. I faced my issues and with the help of the Holy Spirit resolved them one at a time. I began affirming aloud the Lord is my confidence and I am self-confident and self-assured. He is my sufficienty and I can make wise decision because when I pray my Lord gives me wisdom and strength. If I make a mistake He is bigger and He can turn it around. My life has never been the same.

Lord, You are my confidence and will keep my foot from being caught in a trap or hidden danger. I have returned to you and waited for you and I am saved; in quietness and confidence is my strength. In Christ and through faith in him I approach God with freedom and confidence, and I will not throw away my confidence; it will be richly rewarded in the name of Jesus. Amen

Christ is your Sufficiency

June 22, 2006

Sooner or later everyone has to deal with pride. We trust in our own resources and blame others when life doesn’t turn out as we plan. We can’t ask anyone for help because pride convinces us that we are sufficient unto ourselves. We even think that we know more and are smarter than all our teachers. This stronghold of pride not only hinders healthy relationships, but prevents us from seeking God. God is faithful and He will turn it around when we choose to acknowledge and humble ourselves before Him. He is more than enough. He is our sufficiency! He has made us fit, worthy and sufficient to be His ministers in the marketplace as an employer or employee, at home, in our communities and abroad. Choose to be teachable and contrite, Christ will be your sufficiency one day at a time. He is more than enough and you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Father, it is true, I can’t do a solitary thing on my own: I listen, and then I decide. I’m not out to get my own way but only to carry out Your orders. Not because I think I can do anything of lasting value by myself. My only power and success comes from God.Your grace is sufficient for me, for Your power is made perfect in my weakness. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Amen

The Abundant Life

June 21, 2006

For many years I was an unhappy, struggling Christian – filled and overflowing with numerous insecurities. But when I discovered that Jesus had come that I might have life and have it to the full – until it overflows, I began experiencing a life of joy unspeakable and full of glory. In Experiencing God Day by Day the authors Henry & Richard Blackaby wrote: Jesus wants you to live your life with security, knowing that you are a beloved child of God. If you are not experiencing love, joy, and peace, you have settled for less than what God intends for you. If you have been making excuses for why you are not experiencing an abundant and joyful life, determine today to settle for nothing less than God’s best for your life. Stop following the world’s way of finding satisfaction. Instead, listen to the Savior’s voice, and you will find true fulfillment. 8/25—Experiencing God Day

Heavenly Father, I pray that the joy of Jesus may be made full and complete and perfect in me, and that I may experience His delight and gladness fulfilled in me; His enjoyment perfected in my own soul. Jesus, you are my source of eternal salvation. Thank You for coming that I might have life, and have it more abundantly – have it to the full until it overflows. I receive the power of God that works through me. I rid myself of negative thoughts, and in simple humility, let my Gardener landscape me with the Word, making a salvation-garden of my life. I am united with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant to the glory of the Father. Amen

Power of Words

June 20, 2006

The Bible has much to say about words. A man’s [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil]. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]. (Prov. 18:20-21) Listen to your words; are they producing life or death? What are you speaking about yourself, your family, your job? Renew you mind, fill your heart with the powerful, transforming Word of God, and you will eat the fruit of life; healing, health, well-being, prosperity and good relationships. God’s words will not return unto him void. They will produce a crop of blessings!

O LORD, set a guard over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips. It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth. Your words are spirit and life, and I pray that the Word of God may dwell richly in me with all wisdom. Then my words will be seasoned with grace, and my tongue will keep me from calamity, in the name of Jesus. Amen

Seated With Christ

June 19, 2006

While I was meditating on Ephesians 1 and 2 the Holy Spirit began to open my eyes to a glorious truth. Together, you and I are seated in heavenly places in Christ, and I saw the utter defeat of Satan and his demonic forces. Jesus has all authority both in heaven and earth, and he says now you go in my name telling others about this great news of the Gospel. You will be my witnesses, my living epistles read of all men. You don’t have to fight the devil (Jesus did that for you); you have the power to withstand him and resist him, and according to the Scriptures he has to flee. He has no authority over you unless you give him place. Read in Ephesians 4 how to avoid giving the devil any room or a foothold in your life. The choice is yours, not his!

I ask the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, to give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that we may know Him better…that the eyes of our heart may be enlightened…that we may know the hope to which he has called us, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints…his incomparably great power for all who believe. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. Amen

Open My Eyes

June 18, 2006

Jesus is the Word that was made flesh. He came and lived here on earth among the people, but their eyes were blinded; they didn’t recognize Him. The light of the Gospel opens our spiritually blinded eyes so we can see Jesus – to see Him is to receive Him as Lord and Master. There is a prayer that I pray for my staff, all my partners, family, friends and myself from the first chapter of Ephesians. Sometimes I pray from The Message: I can’t stop thanking God for you—every time I pray, I think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength! The more you focus on Jesus, the more like him you will become. Your true identity is in Him!

Lord, I ask you to open my eyes that I may see the wonderful things in your law. Thank you for the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father has sent in your name. He will teach me all things and will remind me of everything you have said. Lord Jesus, thank you for opening my understanding of the Word of God, showing me how to read my Bible. Amen

Prayer for the Nations

June 17, 2006

Jesus revealed that praying for nations is very important to God. It seems that most people think of Jesus as gentle, meek and lowly (and He is); a good shepherd carrying sheep on his shoulders (and He is). But there is another glimpse of Jesus that we tend to forget. That is the display of his anger on two occasions in the temple courts. (John 2; Mark 11:15-18) Jesus overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. I wonder how many were in an attitude of prayerful worship after all the haggling over the high interest rates they were being charged. They must have felt cheated by those who were supposed to be their brothers. Jesus declared openly before the people: Is it not written that my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations? You can become a member of the Global Company of Intercessors who are praying for all nations by signing up at our website,

Father, we are your children…heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ who share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. We ask you, Father, to make the nations our inheritance, the ends of the earth our possession. In the name of Jesus, we pray for the healing of the nations. Praise God! It is our Lord Jesus who will bring true justice and peace to all the nations of the world. Amen

Being a teenage girl at the age of 17, I find it very hard to keep God first in my life sometimes. At this one particular time in my life, I found myself putting other things before him, and after many warnings he finally told me{in his own way}he didn’t appreciate it. So I’ve been having a few tough times but I’m on my way to recovering. My mom bought me a book called Prayers That Avail Much for Teens and it has helped me so much, because sometimes you don’t know how to pray and just what to say, but this book helped me to talk to god and I felt like it gave me strength. I was so happy that he blessed me with it.
